Changes are occurring in the industry, meanwhile patient's records, charts and medical correspondence work must go on. Speed, accuracy and prices still are the parameters of measuring one transcription service vs another. New service features are also coming with the increased use of the Internet - where new methods can transmit patient, practice or hospital data between widely dispersed locations, organizations or service providers. A physician's dictation can also be transmitted between the office and the transcription service bureau for faster turnaround. Likewise the completed text file is transmitted back to the practice's office personnel where the staff can format the text to their preference and print it on their own letterhead or forms at their own convenience. Conventional Tape Transcribing Services We require the use of high quality, specific analog or digital tape recorders. These devices have the potential of future use with speech recognition technology. We offer various turnaround time prices ranging from same-day to 48 hour. Completed drafts shall be transmitted to the practice's' office via e-mail for specific line rates based upon turnaround time. The lowest charges under this plan are when the client makes any necessary corrections and prints the document. To lower costs the following is required: 1 - The practice's' use of high quality tape recorders that we recommend. The following describes the two plans: Speech Flow Service - Tape dictation would be picked up and converted to text. The document would be e-mailed to your office within 24 hours for your final approval and printing at your site. Based upon the dictator's acceptance of items 2 & 3 and successful dictation using this style savings of 20 to 30% could be realized. Speech Flow Partnership - This service provides on-site transcribing and is appropriate for the larger medical practice. Under this plan, WorkFlow Solutions assumes responsibility for all physician dictation transcribing at costs not-to-exceed existing transcription costs. WFS would provide all necessary transcription workstations, tape recorders, tape cassettes and training. The immediate benefit of this offering is that all dictated documents would be available by the end of each day. This plan permits transcribing costs to be lowered to 30 to 40% based upon each physician's acceptance and use of the the prescribed dictation style.
